Children's Fairyland--storytelling

Inside the maze.

D. was pretending it was sacrament time.

We were there during a weekend honoring Black History month, and there was a great storyteller named Kirk Waller, telling traditional African and African American stories.

Children's Fairyland #4

I like action shots!

They had some neat things in the maze.

Children's Fairyland #2

It was really nice of my parents to take us here. It was a rare Saturday that they weren't busy working in the temple, and A. had a conference all day, so it worked out great for me.

It's a game--can you find P. in this picture?:

That's the dress my mom made me for my baptism in 1986. She did a good job preserving it!

Here We Are

Christmas Tree Hunting throughout the years...

We found these pictures on the wall of the place from previous years:
2005
(look at little I.) 2006
(P. was already in the car, he was a little baby)
2007
(this is really humiliating)
2008
(A. took this one)
I wanted to have the owner in the picture for memories. We've been going since 1987 or so. About 20 years!

Happy Birthday, Abuela!

Halloween pics #16 The Prince Costume cont.

The Tunic
The Button
The Blouse

Aside from the boots (and button and feather), my mom (Abuela) made the entire costume (and the girls', too). I hope I paid enough homage to her.

And we're off to play some games!

Abuelo and Abuela came this year!

I can't believe I actually took the picture mid-throw. Can you see the ball?
