A new bed, and a moment of shame

We borrowed GH from my brother. I miss it.
P.'s new bed! It's an extendable bed from IKEA. So, it's at it's shortest stage right now (where it will stay the entire time we're in this tiny apartment).

A moment of desperation:
We were soooooo frustrated with the girl's naughty behavior one night, that we ran out of ideas. This was a stupid one, but we were at our wit's end. I wanted them to wake up feeling horrified that their stuffed animals were being held hostage.

Am I a bad parent?

Valentine's Day

My mom was having them try out their V-day outfits. She made D.'s dress, and P.'s vest, and A.'s parents gave I. the dress for her B-day, which I. had been saving to wear on V-day.
Julie directed me to a blog which had cool V-day hairstyles, so I did it for the girls.

We went to a temple sealing that day, so we had Aunt A. and Uncle D. babysit the kids, and Aunt A. took this picture for us after we got back and changed:

Before church the next day.

Children's Fairyland--Bye!

Children's Fairyland--storytelling

Inside the maze.

D. was pretending it was sacrament time.

We were there during a weekend honoring Black History month, and there was a great storyteller named Kirk Waller, telling traditional African and African American stories.

Children's Fairyland #4

I like action shots!

They had some neat things in the maze.

Children's Fairyland #3

I think this picture is hilarious!:

Children's Fairyland #2

It was really nice of my parents to take us here. It was a rare Saturday that they weren't busy working in the temple, and A. had a conference all day, so it worked out great for me.

It's a game--can you find P. in this picture?:

Children's Fairyland

Oakland, CA

We had to take this picture of me, because the last time I went here, I was like, 3 or 4, and my parents took a picture of me sitting in this exact chair:

Teeth

2 down for D., lots more to go!

My busy day with my son

I like the UCD Raptor Center, and there's never been anyone else around when I've gone.
Can you see the upper right-hand corner? Man, I can't even remember what that was anymore!

Playing at the park behind the school before we pick up D. from Kindergarten.
He fell asleep!

After a hard day's work...

Celebrations continue

I. making us some cupcakes from her new cupcake maker. I love how P.'s in the background with the cupcake mix package in his mouth.
Yum!

Her special week at school.
